Unreal Destruction

Unprecedented Mayhem and Destruction Hijackings and Bombings the deaths and Injury of many innocent people.

What Does it mean?

1) It means that Human Life is fragile and fleeting.

2) It also means that we exist in a world and in a time of great disobedience and disrespect. Disrespect and disobedience directed at both God and people.

Yes, this could have Major Biblical *(End Time) Significance.

Biblically for the End Times the world will be Governed by one world leader. This world leader will lead from Europe and not from the USA.

This series of catastrophes could have the end time Biblical significance in causing the UN Hq. Building to relocate from NY (USA) to Europe and this would fit Bible Prophecy in that the UN or some global agency would be in Europe.

*End Times means the End of the Times that humans will spend separated from Jesus (God). End time is Not the end of time, it is the end of separation time, before the return of Jesus to unite with people and to reign here on earth.

Why does God Allow such tragedies to Happen?

God allows tragedy to happen to reveal that Human life is precious and that the real tragedy is human separation from God.

These Tragedies and Death itself will cease when Jesus reigns and rules from earth.

The last Prayer in the Bible is a prayer Requesting the speedy, coming return of Jesus. Reflecting on these end time events the Disciple John prays that Jesus would come quickly.

Revelation 22:20,21 He (Jesus) which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen Even so come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

I first visited this forum last night. As a Catholic, some of the stuff I agree with and some I don't. At first I had not planned to post on this board but only read.
Now, I only have one thing to say on this sad day. Can you, for one moment, lay aside your personal religious agenda in respect for the dead? You could have simply said, "Pray for them" or posted a prayer. Instead you go on a page long rant on how this is part of "the end times", only mentioning today's tragedy IN ONE SHORT SENTENCE. The "end times" have nothing to do with this. What happened today was a pure act of human crulity and hatred. Instead of moruning the dead as all others in the United States are now dispite race, color or religion, you choose to use this act of terrorism as a platform to plug your own beliefs.

As a Christian and follower of God, you make me sick.

Based on your past record, I fully expect this to be deleted, but all that matters to me is that you read it for yourself.

God bless.

Hi,

The post is Relevant!

A posting on prayer was posted prior to this posting.

The days and the events in the days in which we live are not unrelated to the Bible and specifically to end time events.

I feel that during this Extremely Tragic time that it is Important to place events into context with the Bible.

I dont think events are random nor is man in control let alone a bunch of Terrorists. God is in Control and God is in Charge.

With God being in control and in charge I think that theses events as tragic as they are, were allowed for a reason by God and part of that reason is to reveal the disobedience of mankind and to allow for repentance and a turning to God.

I too join you and many others in the continued prayer for the people and families involved in this tragedy.

David

I just want to reiterate that Christianity via Jesus the Holy Spirit and the Bible, does offer the Only Explanation for mankind our predicament of sin and death and our Hope of Eternal Life in the Resurrection of Jesus.

During these times of despair it is only the Christian that has hope and comfort and these are in Jesus.

It is my hope and prayer that we as Christians will be able to reach out and to offer the comfort of Jesus to others who are in need of comfort during these difficult times. And one of the comforts is to realize that the Bible has much to say about the rebellion of mankind and the Love and patience of God.

Sorry coyote but your wrong. David said nothing that showed a lack of sensitivity or betrayed any crassness or hate. And David had some good point, too. Why don't you try getting a hold of yourself and get control of your emotions before you pop your cork? Your response was uncalled for. I think you need to take a few downers and give this some more thought. I am sure David feels plenty bad for those people. BUt there are still things to consider above and beyond the obvious.
It is your fleshly emotionalism that often contributes to mass hysteria and people acting irrationally due to be carried away with emtions and not thinking clearly. David is to be commended. It is you who should be ashamed.

I ca't help but notice some of the ridiculous suggestions coming out of this tragedy. Cars can't aprk within 200 yards of an Airport building. You might as well close down Portland Internationl Jetport on a permanent basis if that is so. Listen, it was a horrific tragedy, but the plain truth, however scary is that there is little to stop such stuff. And we can't just give up living becuase it happened. Byut the government would like you to give up nearly everything, convincing you that this will protect you when it will do nothing to make you any more secure than you were a week ago. it will still be able to happen just as easy.

Some have the guts and courage to accept they are vulnerable, others want to encapsulate themselves and hid in the basement for the rest of their lives. I for one, will not allow anyone to amke me live like a lunatic. I will go on with my life, regardless of what terroists do to me. I will not the the prisoner of my own irrational mind not will I let someone else try to get me to be irrational about all this and give up decent normal living.

But if our technology and way of life is so vulnerable, maybe we need to take a second look at how and why we live and if there might be a better way. But we will only be able to do that if we remain calm and rational, composed, and contemplative. You have faile that one so far. I ask you to reconsider.

You have conveyed Many things that I would like to have said in the beginning and foremost is that we Need to Always Look up to God and to Look around especially during any moment of distraction.

These tragedies do not happening in a vacuum. The evil spirit realm is influencing and manipulating people into Terrorist acts and other people are taking advantage of Tragedy to lessen and remove freedoms from innocent law abiding citizens.

Already I have seen on other Web sites that this Terrorist act is being represented as an act of Religious Extremism and then in the same sentence Christianity is also being referred to as Religious extremism and how harmful religion is to people. This is an outright Lie and Misrepresentation of Christianity and we as Christians should never let ourselves be misrepresented and stereotyped along with Terrorists.

We Christians have every right and obligation to publicly speak out about our beliefs and our understandings.

Thanks,

God Bless You,

David

<< During these times of despair it is only the Christian that has hope and comfort and these are in Jesus >>
Not true. I am an atheist, and I find hope and comfort in the stoic courage of people getting on with their lives in the face of such horror.

I find hope and comfort in the heroism and sacrifice of the firefighters and police who gave their lives helping others.

I find hope and comfort in all the people who are queuing around the block to give blood, in all the people who are doing every little thing they can to help.

I find hope and comfort in the dignity of those who have lost friends and loved ones, or who await news of friends and loved ones.

I find hope and comfort in the fact that all the democratic nations of the world are standing beside the USA right now.

I find hope and comfort in the fact that the USA has not yet launched retaliatory strikes, that they are waiting until they are absolutely sure who the enemy is.

Boasting in Atheism seems very shallow.

You might as well boast about the color of your socks.

Your hope and comfort is deceiving and momentary at best.

We have the True Hope and Everlasting Eternal Comfort in Jesus.

When you tire and despair of your false manmade comfort I hope you will turn to the true comforter Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

One is blue and one is green. This is true.
Boasting - I think not, simply a statement of fact.

Otherwise, no comment.

I agree the Bible is fascinating!

The more I read it and study it the more fascinating it becomes.

The Article Jesus in the Old Testament also has some links to some Bible Code.

There is a link to the Article in the Suggested reading section near the bottom on the Start/Home Page.

God Knows the Future as well as He knows the Past and the Present so He could easily have included anything He wanted to in the Bible. He did write the Bible in a certain way to reach out to everyone in making Bible study fun, interesting and exciting on many levels.

Thanks Again

God Bless you,

David

What a Difference a Day Makes

 On Monday we emailed jokes
 On Tuesday we did not

On Monday we thought that we were secure
 On Tuesday we learned better

On Monday we were talking about heroes as being athletes
On Tuesday we relearned who our heroes are

On Monday we were irritated that our rebate checks had not arrived
On Tuesday we gave money away to people we had never met

On Monday there were people fighting against praying in schools
On Tuesday you would have been hard pressed to find a school where
 someone was not praying

On Monday people argued with their kids about picking up their room
On Tuesday the same people could not get home fast enough to hug their
 kids

On Monday people were upset that they had to wait 6 minutes in a
 fast food drive through line
On Tuesday people didn't care about waiting up to 6 hours to
 give blood for the dying

On Monday we waved our flags signifying our cultural diversity
On Tuesday we waved only the American flag

On Monday there were people trying to separate each other by
 race, sex, color and creed
On Tuesday they were all holding hands

On Monday we were men or women, black or white, old or young, rich or
poor, gay or straight, Christian or non-Christian.
 On Tuesday we were Americans

On Monday politicians argued about budget surpluses
On Tuesday grief stricken they sang 'God Bless America'

On Monday the President was going to Florida to read to children
On Tuesday he returned to Washington to protect our children

 On Monday we had families
 On Tuesday we had orphans

On Monday people went to work as usual
 On Tuesday they died

On Monday people were fighting the 10 commandments on government
 property
On Tuesday the same people all said 'God help us all' while thinking
 Thou shall not kill'

It is sadly ironic how it takes horrific events to place things
into perspective, but it has. The lessons learned this week, the
things we have taken for granted, the things that have been forgotten
or overlooked, hopefully will never be forgotten again.
